Lap ID
« on: May 03, 2020, 01:47:16 PM »
While digging through a boxes of bit that I've had a while, I found a lap that I could use some more info on.
It's a hard black material which has been cast, kind of reminds me of Bakelite, but don't think thats it.  Marked Dialap Jules Joris Sydney.  It's too thick for my machine, kind of splashes water everywhere, but there is plenty of thickness on the back lip that it could be machined down.
How were these used? Is it worth refurbishing?
Thanks Brad
