Facetron lives!
« on: February 17, 2023, 09:19:43 AM »
For those out there with Facetrons, the news that the Jarvi's have retired would have come as a blow for spare parts and accessory supplies. The good news is the Wyatt Yaeger has now acquired the rights for production and will be able to supply spares. He is also looking at producing replacement speed controllers that are made in America for the Facetron. He can be contacted through  Official Facetron Group on Facebook.

Yes, great news. It seems that Fac-Ette are going to be manufacturing both Facetrons and GemMaster GMIII machines. Wonder whether the speed controllers will be just for the USA i.e. 120V and 60Hz?

RC, I've been in contact with Wyatt over the last couple of months and he seems keen to supply parts world-wide. He knows and understands that there are systems other than the 110 volt US grid so i think he will be trying to cater for all.

That's encouraging news. I saw some reference to an optional Facetron upgrade item that should become available soon - a lathe machined stainless steel mast to replace the standard alloy one. Seems like this would be a nice upgrade? I imagine it is to reduce any flex present. I don't think flex is a major problem with the standard mast, however when cutting large smoky "Hero" stones I see some signs of this.

Just as a side note, as some of you know I've had trouble replacing my Facetron speed controller while the business has been going through changes. As a potential temporary measure I have purchased one of these and it seems to be operating Ok for now, it does not have a reversing switch, but have also ordered an aftermarket one to replace the easily knocked rocker switch that comes standard on the Facetron. The ebay switch was a LOT cheaper than the genuine item. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/265818332656?_trkparms=amclksrc%3DITM%26aid%3D1110002%26algo%3DSPLICE.SOI%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20201210111314%26meid%3D8e43efc549514b1aa6cf5aef32f9b8bc%26pid%3D101112%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D12%26sd%3D266033935531%26itm%3D265818332656%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D0%26pg%3D2047675%26algv%3DPromotedTopSellersItemsInMetaCategoryItemsV2WithMLR%26brand%3DUnbranded&_trksid=p2047675.c101112.m2109&amdata=cksum%3A2658183326568e43efc549514b1aa6cf5aef32f9b8bc%7Cenc%3AAQAHAAABEJKn7A6zE%252F9RKeYPcI9p0PHff%252F%252Ba%252FtloJO5EddjOQTTvdwijuRrTWuUp1QJxzNdA4egXP8NOtoS%252FcDbAQ%252FLTZ0%252FH8fr1L343fYKBQKtsthYvIrhMR9FZMT0XD32YNioE%252F%252Fe9pVW6O7kUJMAi%252FTU9b4NkkonOSCIYnPnVToVF0qSDE2OXEi596JD7tx0ebkLGpyWLVvQXPlsOrrmKA62bklT8TSR04iEkKfxemZTHVmgCtxiv8%252BvWrajYEVMx1Tm5LpqIUe8U1h2VEji6cSG4pfjJqOFNLScm66oYrhMLDrt9JDtK5cteHSjFOLVxGbNP7K4ufK3npHuveiGDmHpkqshM%252BgkSe6g93LviFArNQuJz%7Campid%3APL_CLK%7Cclp%3A2047675
