Loading Photo's onto site

Hi all, I have been trying to load photographs onto to my album on this site.  I was able to do this up until 2 years ago, but the photo's fail to download, what am I doing wrong.

I down size my images in paint to be less than 350kb, my camera saves them at 4mb which is way to big.

Hi all, I have been trying to load photographs onto to my album on this site.  I was able to do this up until 2 years ago, but the photo's fail to download, what am I doing wrong.

I typically scale my images to 1024 x 768 pixels or thereabouts using free software (GIMP in my case) runs on most platforms - Windows/Linux/Mac. There are heaps of simpler software you can use too, such as Paint as Frank mentioned.
My images go from ~4MB straight off my camera or phone, to under 300KB in 1024 x 768 resolution. The ALF galleries accept this size for upload without problem.

I just increased the maximum image size slightly. Limits are 1920wide, 1200high, 3mb file size. Limit was previously set at 1200,1200, 3mb.

I've also used free online resize tools to resize larger numbers images for the web. Like
