Tinker, Move your pointer over the Gallery tab on the menu at top of page. Add picture will appear in the drop down.  Click on it. Forum members can create their own galleries or add pictures to existing ones. Once pictures are added copy the code that appears below the picture to insert into your post. I usually use the medium image code.
Cheers

Tinker, thanks for the generous run down on your trip. Encouraging that you found so many people who were helpful. Were you staying in motels, caravanning or camping? What kind of accommodation costs around these areas?

And now what with your collection. Are you a lapadarist?

Yes Harry Opal, I've been into lapidary for around 30 years, but have only really got into it since I retired 12 years ago.  I am also a qualified Silver Smith and set a lot of my pretty stones. a lapidarist.  Mate we mostly stayed in Motels, based ourselves at Narrabri the first two nights and costs were $95 per night, stayed two nights Tamworth $98 per night, 1 night at the Prospectors C/V Park at Nundle in a cabin which was two bedroom, with two double beds and a single with all the mode cons and over looking the Peel River, where the manager told me he panned for gold that was $125 for the night and then Bathurst at the Gold Panner $98 for the night with breakfast.

Yes mate, run into a fella whilst I was up there from SA, he was there for the sole purpose of finding some and taking it home to Facet.

Thanks for the run down on your trip. Am curious as to whether you able to use your silver smithing and lapidary skills to develop a commercial return for your pieces? I was able to incorporate stuff I made in my former handcraft shop. Closed in 2017 before Covid, thank goodness. Difficult times for many businesses.

I ran through your gallery by the way. What do you have in mind for future outings?
