I’m looking for photos or list of rocks and minerals that can be found at caves beach (I know you can find petrified wood and jasper) any photos that will be shared will be greatly appreciated

Any other locations near there witch you don’t want to show to the form I’m happy to talk through PM

My inlaws live there so I've spent a lot of time looking.  Only ever found lots of good jasper and I'm guess what is technically petrified wood.  There are lots of quartz veins through the rock in places - but it's fairly poor quality milky quartz and I've never seen anything vaguely like a quartz point.

I do know there is an insect fossil bed not too far away at Belmont (google it) but doesn't seem to be a spot you can actually search for them as such.

I'll be curious if anyone else can shed more light on anything interesting.

I have some petrified wood from that area, go for a walk along the old coal mine tracks and walk along quarry beach. I have some petrified wood at home from there if you want some?

There's petrified wood nearby at Swansea Heads. Some large pieces embedded in bedrock
