Unfortunately most places I know of are tied up with mining operations with no access by the public. Others here may be able to help.

Buy silver ingots on eBay. Far cheaper then trying to find it yourself.

I'd be a bit cautious of refining galena to extract the silver. Given that any galena you may come across will probably only have up to 0.5% silver present, and probably a lot less, you will have to process a lot of lead mineral to get your silver. If the sulfurous fumes don't get you, the lead poisoning will...
Native silver would be nicer if you could get it.

Aussie Boy you would be better going to an op shop and buying old silver cutlery, ratty sterling silver items or 1966 silver 50 cent pieces if you can get them at scrap value.  Better still buying a piece of processed silver from a supply place like the following https://www.jewellerssupplies.com.au/product-group/16456-925-sterling-silver-sheet/category/838-silver-sheet-wire-chenier

I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once.
