What is this gemstone and how best to harvest it?

Hello all,
Complete noob here. I'm just wondering what this stone is (I think quartz?)
Im located in Victoria.
Also wondering how best to harvest the stones. The vein goes all the way through and around the Granite, and wondering if im better to run the demo saw through the whole stone and keep it all as a slab or if I should chisel the stones out individually?

Hi Freeza, welcome to the forum. From your photos it does look like quartz veins in granite. I'm not sure why you'd want to extract the quartz as it's a fairly common material anyway. If you like the look of the pieces you've got, I'd leave them as they are, treat them as specimens. To extract the quartz would require a saw, cold chisel and large hammer, and a lot of hard slog. If you use a demo saw dry, make sure you wear PPE as the dust generated can be dangerous as it can cause silicosis in the lungs.

Hey thankyou for the advice. I did put them in the gallery and inserted then with tags but must of done it wrong !
