Back from Paul's funeral. Left after the burial and did not go to The Fiddler afterwards. Would not have coped with the crowd.

Calxoddity, Sharyn used your pic of Paul in the service card. It looked good and the service went well.  :)

I went to pieces when I looked at the anonymous poem in the card.

Was a sweet celebration ceremony.

Rest in Peace Paul.  beers

Will not have chance for a decent toast to Paul till Saturday night. Too much driving etc before then.

Sad news indeed. I only just heard since I'm no longer a regular poster. He was certainly a devoted and tireless member of this forum and the fossicking community and he will be sadly missed.

Terrible news, my condolences. I never met Wwoofa but he was very generous with his time and knowledge on this site... Not sure what else to say. He will be missed, he is missed. Best wishes to his family and friends at this difficult time.

J.

With a heavy heart I am deeply saddened by the news. Belated rest in peace Paul and sympathies to his family and friends :(

You were an amazing man with a great deal of knowledge, whose contribution to the fossicking community far exceeded standards.

I'll never forget the fun trips we went on, especially stopping in Murrurundi on the way home for those yummy bacon and eggs.

Miss you dearly :(

Hi Wedgetail  :)  Sorry you got the news about Woofa so late.
Just finished isolating from a dose of Covid, at least this time there was the antiviral tablets available.
What are you doing these days?
 beers Jerry

Vale Wal of Wal&Liz,         With yesterday's passing of Wal the fossicking community has lost a person ever willing to tutor the beginner in the field or many who have watched their U tube video"s on gemstones, gold and fossicking all over Australia. Wal can swap yarns with Woofa around a camp fire in the heavens. :(
Life isn't a rehearsal.
