Stone/gem identification
« on: February 04, 2024, 05:19:02 PM »
How can I get a rock/stone identified? My Uncle was a geologist and gave me a piece of stone many years ago. I think it might be ameythyst, but am not sure?

Hi mcdonas, where are you located? There may be a lapidary club located nearby where you could possibly take your stone and have them have a look at it as well. Like Makky said though, if you can post some photos in the gallery, we may be able to help you out.
