Welcome to the forum 4x4bundy.  Would love to see the horse head when you have finished.

I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once.

The Attachments settings were originally set to 600kb total for the post.  So you might have one large file which is being rejected or if you wanted to add multiple files that total over 600kb, they will be rejected.  There is a space limit on the Attachments folder so these settings are designed to avoid it being filled up too quickly.

However, we have asked members on a number of occasions to use the Media Gallery instead where there is no overall limit on files added and a much more generous limit on individual file size.  Files added to the gallery are not at risk of being deleted if I need more space - attachments may be deleted at any time if that folder gets too full.

Lots of other reasons for this which I will not repeat here - there are other messages going into it further on the Forum Announcements board.  However, a more immediate issue is that I have just altered the settings to prevent image formats being attached at all - all members now HAVE to add them to the Gallery.

The process is not difficult and you can see instructions here:

Or message me if you have any queries and I can walk you through it.

For image resizing and other basic editing (just about anything you would need), we use Irfanview.  It is a small download and very easy to use.  We use that program for 95% of our image editing for Aussie Sapphire - it is the first thing I install on any new computer.

Get it here:  http://www.irfanview.com/
